Blind people in Israel started to ride bicycles in the 1990s, thanks to
the "Etgarim" (challenges) Institute. Some of us caught the "bicycle
fever", and wanted more then those weekly rides could offer. One by one
we bought our first tandem bicycles, and began to ride on a more
frequent basis. During this time, a group of blind friends and dedicated
riders was formed. A blind rider needs a front rider who can see. Therefore, many
volunteers have joined the group as well. As a result, our group of
friends has grown, and not all of our members are blind. We have the best riders in Israel cycling with us (best in spirit), and
we welcome anyone who would like to join us. Please contact
